About the event

Are you a regular at a yoga studio or gym but have never learnt how to practice inversions. More specifically Headstands, Shoulder stands & Handstands. Perhaps the opportunity to learn simply wasn’t offered, or you’ve been too fearful to try in the past?

In this workshop we will be working towards kicking up into an inversion, using the wall to assist/support us. It is also great for anyone who may not feel quite ready, but wants to consolidate the foundations to get stronger and understand the different modifications available to suit your level.

We will work on all the strength training/stretching drills to master the kickup- with either leg and then two legs together (bunny hops). The biggest thing holding you back from attempting inversions is FEAR! Once you have a strong foundation & the knowledge to practice safely, YOU CAN OVERCOME FEAR!!! If you overcome fear of inversions on the mat - you can overcome any fear you have off the mat!!

There are numerous benefits to a regular inversion practice including:

- Glowing skin

- Natural Anti Depressant

- Boost your brain / Focus

- Aid Digestion

- Improve Immunity

Metaphysically, on a deeper level, Inversions have a profound effect on our sense of self and emotional well being. The act of simply getting upside down lets you see the world and yourself from a different view. The physical act of changing your perspective can encourage a positive shift of focus.

Cost: $45
